TNG is a growing international movement centered around the idea of giving 18-35 year olds space of their own within the overall bdsm community. TNG4 is the the fourth installment (first on the West Coast) of bdsm conventions aimed at those in the 18-35 age range. There are many reasons for a con aimed at this age range, many of which are controversial. We are hosting this con because we believe that the younger people in the bdsm scene have a lot to contribute and learn from one another. There are many opportunities for us to learn from our fabulous elders in the community but we would like to have this chance to focus on what we can do for and with ourselves. Many groups have an older age limit but the overall consensus for TNG groups seems to be 35 so we went with that. Short answer: maybe.

You can come if you are the guest of someone in the age range. You still have to pay full registration fees as a con attendee.

With registration for single days or nights at TNG4 now available, we ask that attendees over 35 not do something like register for the entire weekend while their 18-35 year old partners only register for a single day or night. We do not care if you are the guest of the same 18-35 year old person the entire time you are here or a guest of someone different every day, just as long as you are not registering to attend by yourself.

We are going to trust the integrity of our guests and believe that everyone over 35 will be there with someone they have a relationship with rather than just using someone in the age range to get a pass.

We want to showcase the talent solely of those actually part of the TNG movement. We are thrilled to learn from our elders at other cons, classes, and events. We have an agreement affording us $89/night. This is with up to 4 people staying in the room (one King or Queen size bed and a sleeper sofa). We hope it will up your chances though. No. Edges is a bdsm dungeon in Silicon Valley, about an hour south of San Francisco. Edges was established with its business license stating that it is a dungeon, as far as we know it is the first business to do so. This makes it a particularly appealing place to host this convention. See our travel section. Given that this event includes those under the legal drinking age we have decided it is best to have no alcohol on site. We also ask that everyone be sober at the event.
